As the girls, McKenzie and Caitlin grew up and their great beauty and affection
for each other was increasingly apparent, Higgins felt it was time to record the
sisters with yet another painting by Tonia. By now, the girls were well acquainted
with the artist and had fun visiting her studio and sitting for their portraits.
Higgins’ comments: “My daughters had such a ball during their sittings that Tonia
scheduled several extras during the process. I am so enamored with the portrait
that it hangs in my den - opposite my desk; so I have the pleasure of my daughters’
presence during most thinking hours.” |
